심볼에 관하여

봉합(The Suture)은 완전한 하나의 도형에서 출발하지 않았습니다.
서로 다른 곡선들, 각기 다른 방향과 리듬을 가진 선들이 하나의 중심을 향해 겹쳐지며 형성된 구조입니다.

이 심볼은 ‘완성된 형태’를 상징하지 않습니다.

오히려 여러 조각들이 합체된 상태 그 자체를 담고 있습니다.

각 선은 독립된 존재이지만 분리되지 않은 채 하나의 형상을 이루고 있습니다.

합체주의는 단순한 결합이 아닙니다.

조각을 없애거나 동일하게 만드는 방식이 아닌, 서로 다른 각자의 흔적과 모양을 유지한 채 하나의 형태로 존재하는 방식을 의미합니다.

이 심볼의 중심에는 완벽한 원이 존재하지 않습니다.
단, 동그란 형태의 빈 공간이 중심을 대신합니다.
그 공간은 여러 곡선들이 만들어낸 합체의 결과로 자연스럽게 남겨진 여백입니다.

그리하여, 저희는 이 심볼을 봉합(The Suture) 이라 부릅니다.

여기서 봉합이란, 서로 다른 조각들이 맞닿아 형태를 유지하기 위한 최소한의 연결입니다.

제품 또한 이와 같은 태도를 따릅니다.

의도적으로 남겨진 실밥, 드러난 절개선, 단차와 봉합의 흔적들은 이러한 형태를 유지하기 위한 구조적 요소입니다.
서로 다른 질감의 원단과 패턴의 모양들이 하나의 형태 안에서 서로 맞닿을 때, 저희는 그 접점을 정리하거나 감추지 않습니다.

불완전함을 감추기보다 봉합하여 드러내고, 균일함을 강요하기보다 각기 다른 결이 어색하지 않게 공존하는 상태를 선택합니다.
그렇게 남겨진 디테일들은 옷이 만들어진 과정을 보여주며 하나의 형태가 어떻게 유지되고 있는지를 느낄 수 있게 합니다.

그렇게, 하나의 형태는 합체된 조각들의 상태로 존재합니다.

꼬르녹은 그저 그 상태를 유지하는 제품을 만들고자 합니다.

About the Symbol

The Suture did not begin as a single, complete shape.
It is a structure formed by different curves—lines with distinct directions and rhythms—overlapping as they move toward a shared center.

This symbol does not represent a 'finished form'.

Instead, it holds the state of fragments coming together as they are.

Each line exists independently, yet without separation, forming one continuous figure.

Assemblagism is not a simple act of combination.

It does not erase fragments or force them into uniformity.
Rather, it refers to a way of existing as one form while preserving each fragment’s distinct traces and contours.

At the center of the symbol, there is no perfect circle.
In its place is a rounded void.
This empty space is not designed, but naturally left behind as the result of multiple curves converging—an inevitable margin created by assemblage.

For this reason, we call this symbol, The Suture.

Here, a suture is the minimal connection that allows different fragments to meet and hold their form together.

Our products follow the same attitude.

Intentionally exposed threads, visible cut lines, layered seams, and traces of stitching function as structural elements that sustain the form.
When fabrics of different textures and patterns meet within a single garment, we do not smooth over or conceal those points of contact.

Rather than hiding imperfection, we choose to reveal it through suturing.

Rather than enforcing uniformity, we allow differing surfaces to coexist without friction.

The details that remain make the process of construction visible, allowing one to sense how a form is held together.

In this way, a form exists as a state of assembled fragments.

CORNOQ simply seeks to create products that maintain that state.
